CLASS CONDUCT: Students and guests are required to behave in a safe and respectful manner, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. Naughty students will be excused from the class and expelled from the property. The Everyday Gourmet and The Cooking School staff reserve the right to terminate the instruction of any class or event at any time for misconduct, theft, use of alcohol or drugs, disruptive behavior, or other reasons, at their sole discretion. No refund or credit will be issued to any student or group dismissed from class.
ALCOHOL POLICY. Alcoholic beverages are occasionally used in our recipes and may be provided solely for such purpose. The Everyday Gourmet and Cooking School staff does not serve, purchase or distribute alcoholic beverages for personal consumption. However, participants (21 or older), private adult (21 or older) parties have the option to provide their own alcoholic beverages for consumption during the program or event. Participants and guests are solely responsible for their decision to consume alcoholic beverages knowing that The Everyday Gourmet and The Cooking School shall have no responsibility or liability whatsoever to the guest or any third party for the consumption of those beverages or any consequences or actions related to the consumption of said beverages.
APPROPRIATE ATTIRE. For safety purposes, we discourage students from wearing high heels, flip flops or open-toed sandals. We want you to be comfortable and look pretty, but your safety is more important to us. Our approach to hands-on cooking classes, as well as some demonstration-style classes, may have you slicing, dicing, and sautéing your way through all of our recipes. Therefore, unless otherwise pre-approved, clothing must be worn that cover your skin and shoes to cover your feet.
CHILDREN IN CLASS We are proud to offer many kids and teens cooking classes geared especially for young chefs. If you would like your child to attend an adult cooking class with you, please request prior approval by calling 601.977.9258. Infants, toddlers and small children are not allowed in The Cooking School during cooking classes. All students under 18 years of age must have written waiver/consent from a parent prior to attending a cooking class.
LIABILITY WAIVER. There are potential risks associated with a kitchen environment including preparing and consuming food products. The use of cooking utensils, including sharp instruments, hot surfaces, and equipment, can make cooking dangerous. Some participants may have known or unknown food allergies and/or dietary restrictions, our particular cooking class setting does not allow for us to accommodate for such issues. Participation in classes and events may result in injury or illness. The Everyday Gourmet and its owners/agents will not be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage, to participants, or their property (cell phones, clothing or persons) or personal injury or damage, by reactions to or from handling, ingesting or exposure to food products, preparation tools or equipment. Furthermore, with your class registration, purchase and or participation, knowing the risks and potential dangers you agree to forever indemnify and hold harmless The Everyday Gourmet, LLC and The Cooking School, LLC, any of the participating staff, their officers, agents, and employees from any and all liability, loss, claim, damage, or action whatsoever.
